Occultation of the Pleiades by the Moon On April 1, the waxing crescent Moon will pass in front of the Pleiades star cluster, creating an occultation event visible in some regions. Observers with clear skies can witness this celestial alignment shortly after sunset.
Lyrid Meteor Shower The night of April 21 into the early morning of April 22, the Lyrids will light up the sky with up to 20 meteors per hour, best viewed after midnight near the constellation Lyra.
